Take a close look at this 1910 ad for Bathodora Water Softener. Headlined; "The Crown Has It" "Sift a little in the bath and the water instantly becomes soft, pure, perfumed and stimulating!" This bath product was prodcued by the Crown Perfumery Company of London and came in two sizes and four "odors" - Rose, Violet, Crab Apple and Mitcham (a district in the SW section of London) Lavender. This products name was probably influenced by modern dance pioneer Isadora Duncan who was wildy popular in Europe at the time.
